About Me

Hi, I am Dr. Abigail Frawley. An Upper-West-Side born and bred New Yorker, I am a psychologist who understands the demands of city life even though I now reside in the country. I completed my doctoral training at Long Island University and have a wealth of experience treating adults with a range of concerns. I believe therapy is a human right, not a privilege.

Education and Training

Psy.D (awarded 2019); Long Island University

BA in Psychology (awarded 2009); Skidmore College

My approach to therapy has been shaped by my experience in a wealth of different settings. I have completed training in community-based mental health clinics, psychoanalytic institutes, public hospitals (inpatient and outpatient), and college counseling. Each of these placements has expanded my clinical toolkit and allowed me to sharpen my instincts and hone my use of interventions. While the patient populations and way I have worked may have varied, the conflicts and spectrum of painful emotion that human beings experience have been a throughline.
